We're pleased to announce changes to our bliink home products, including greater download allowances at no extra cost. From the 1/8/03 the following changes will be implemented on all bliink home accounts.

Increased Download Allowances
• Our bliink 128 product will be updated to the new bliink 256lite. Not only will the download speed be 256k, we're increasing the allowance by 100%. That’s 1000MB during peak time and 1000MB during bliink time.
bliink 256 peak allowance has increased from 2000MB to 3000MB
bliink 256 Plus peak allowance has increased from 4000MB to 6000MB
• Our bliink 512 account, already voted best ‘all rounder’ broadband account by APC magazine is now even better with the peak allowance increasing from 6,000MB to 10,000MB
• The whopping 6000MB increase in peak allowance for bliink 1500 from 8,000MB to 14,000MB gives fantastic value for extra fast downloading.
• On all accounts there has been no reduction in off peak (bliink time) allowances.

bliink Time 12.00am to 8.00am
To add to that good news, we’ve increase bliink time, allowing you an extra hour each day. bliink time on all bliink home accounts will be 12:00am to 8:00am rather than 7.00am.

Pay Monthly by Direct Debit
If you would prefer to pay your account by direct debit from a bank account, you can from 1/8. If you choose to pay by direct debit you can pay monthly or quarterly. To change your payment option, simply complete a direct debit form and provide 14 days notice.

Shaping
The download speed on an account is 'shaped' if the peak or bliink time quota is reached in the previous month (30 days). Most of our clients are not affected by shaping at all, and now with our increased download limits even fewer will be. However for those who are, we've changed the way we shape accounts. Effectively, once the peak or bliink time download allowance is reached, the download speed is reduced to 72kbps. We've now introduced a second layer once 150% of the peak or bliink time allowance is reached slowing the download speed to 33kbps.

Option to Remove Port Blocking
We’ve introduced the ability for you to turn off the automatic port blocking on your accounts. If you are keen to do this you can simply change it through the Toolbox from 1/8/03.

What do I Need to do?
If you have a bliink home account already, you do not need to do anything. The changes will happen automatically. If you are considering a new broadband account, we're sure you will find the new limits a great incentive to open a new bliink account.

And Finally
Clients opening a bliink home account on or after 1/8/03 should know a disconnection fee of $69.00 will be charged should the account be closed within the first 6 months.
