From 12th August, local routing will be enabled in both Sydney and Melbourne to decrease latency (speed) for broadband users. This has been made possible due to additional infrastructure deployments in our existing Sydney and Melbourne POPs. This deployment allows iiNet to terminate ADSL traffic locally in Sydney and Melbourne instead of trunking the ADSL traffic to Perth. Customers should now be experiencing a significant increase in performance due to these changes. Customers in Sydney and Melbourne should also be advised Bliink time is from 12am to 7am AEST.
