Welcome

Welcome to the March edition of the iiNet Newsletter. We have drawn the long awaited winners of the $500 prize for the early birds who changed over to our new dial in number! Congratulations to our winners, we hope you enjoy your prize.

Network News

March will see more network function migrating over to the new network. This will result in increased performance across our Network. In fact, the new core is 100 times faster than the existing one!

As a result of a slight delay in the delivery of the 4000 lines that were due at the end of February we have increased our order to 5000 lines to be delivered in the middle of March.

Traffic differentiation is still in the testing stage and will be finalised this month.

Additional Mailboxes

As part of our ongoing plan to add value to our premium account, all Explorer accounts may now have up to four mailboxes. Explorers used to come with only one address - if you have an explorer you may now add three addresses to your first.

They are complete mailboxes with username and password, which you can use to pop your mail. This is great for family or other people living at your home, or for coworkers in a small business. The mailboxes can also be accessed by webmail from the iiNet homepage.

The additional mailboxes can be added at any time - they don't need to be added when the account is created or all at once. The mailbox names are restricted to eight characters, as per regular iiNet addresses. Please note, unlike the main mailbox of the account, they are not eligible to have an alias set up for them.

If you are interested in adding another mailbox to your Explorer account you may email your request to support@iinet.net.au or contact support on 9214 2222.

Remember, not all usernames will be available - many are in use by current clients, but our friendly support staff will be more than happy to help you choose one that you may use.

Atlantis Minimum Payments

If you are the owner of an Atlantis account we would like to inform you of some slight billing changes. The Atlantis account is a prepaid account that attracts a minimum monthly fee of $10. Clients are warned by email when their accounts drop below $15 and the account may be suspended when the account drops to zero.

We have now introduced a minimum payment of $15 when topping up these accounts. You may of course pay any sum over this value - simply email support@iinet.net.au and request an invoice for the amount you wish to be billed for.
