iiNet Newsletter: September 1996
In order to meet the needs our growing membership, a number of new staff have joined the ranks, including Beata, Chris, Lance, Philip and Ross. Our Adelaide office opened in June, with John, Leigh and Rachael eagerly waiting by the phones. iiNet's explosive growth in 1996 mirrors that of 1995 - and we have no reason to expect any different in the next twelve months. We're planning carefully to meet this challenge, as well as extending existing services to give you more for your money. We hope you'll be with us for the long ride.
Mandurah (09) 586 1866
Adelaide (08) 8212 3222
Busselton (097) 27 2929
Gawler (085) 233 509
Members in Rockingham and Byford can also call our Mandurah node for the cost of a local call. Adelaide has opened as the centre for our South Australian expansion, so it has its own support services and personnel on the ground. In addition we have a rotary in Gawler which services the Barossa Valley area. As with all our nodes, iiNet members who are visiting another location, such as Adelaide, can dial into the local number instead of having to dial long distance. The current recommended dialup numbers are:
Perth (09) 322 4449 Perth CBD. 15 minute logins. Perth (09) 461 4000 Perth CBD. 64 x 28.8K lines Perth (09) 461 4100 Perth CBD. 64 x Netcomm 28.8K lines. Adelaide (08) 8212 3222 With local support and service. Padbury (09) 307 5801 Wanneroo, Yanchep and Bullsbrook. Mandurah (09) 586 1866 Mandurah, Byford, Pinjarra, Bunbury (097) 91 5115 Bunbury, Australind and Capel. Busselton (097) 27 2929 Busselton Town Centre Gawler (085) 233 509 Barossa ValleyWe also have the following two rotaries, which will be merged into the 461 rotaries within the next two months: Perth (09) 322 5432 Perth CBD. 128 x 28.8K lines. Perth (09) 322 7123 Perth CBD. 64 x Netcomm 28.8K lines. You may notice the new 461 prefix on our Perth lines. These lines are new digital lines (as opposed to the lines on the 322 numbers) which will provide more reliable connections to our customers. iiNet is committed to upgrading all of its rotaries to this new technology. Currently, if you are dialing the CBD, the recommended dialing pattern you should be using (assuming you do not have any conflicts with any particular rotary) is 461-4000 and then 322-5432. The 461-4000 number will carry on to the other 461 numbers if the lines are congested.
This rotary is located in the Perth CBD, with a phone number of (09) 322-4449
As of August 1, 1996, we are no longer offering the standard account to our new members. This change does not negatively affect existing clients on the standard account. Quite the contrary! We have actually removed the volume limit on the standard account as a reward for your loyalty. Those people on the standard account will now receive:
However, we will no longer be offering this account as an option to new clients. So as not to disadvantage the people on the premium account or new clients, we have upgraded their accounts as well. Premium clients receive:
The cheaper plan has probably contributed to making iiNet the largest Internet Access Provider in WA. Nonetheless, we are committed to high quality more than size, and we believe that offering new clients the premium service will result in an increased capacity for growth and the ability to meet your requirements in years to come.
Box 1 105 St Georges Terrace Perth WA 6000We are still receiving mail at our old address which changed over a year ago! Addressing it correctly will mean your mail gets handled quicker.
