* RockNet have joined the iiNet Group
iiNet is pleased to announce that RockNet have joined the iiNet Group. RockNet provided Internet access to the Rockhampton area, supplying approximately 3,500 users with their Internet needs. "iiNet is delighted to have the opportunity to provide the same premium, personalised Internet service to RockNet's customers that we've been offering our customers since 1993" said Managing Director of iiNet, Michael Malone. iiNet would like to take this opportunity to welcome all the RockNet customers who have come on board over the last few weeks. Rocknet now gives us a great base in Queensland, and we intend to extend to Brisbane later this year! Domain Consumer Alert On Monday, many of our .com.au domain customers received a letter from NetRegister regarding Internet Name Group going into administration. Many of the people who received this letter have never had any dealings with Internet Name Group. The letter gives the impression that the domain holder is in danger of losing their license, unless they forward money to NetRegister. If you have received this letter and have concerns over your domain name license, please contact our help desk. Otherwise, you should disregard the notice. Further information regarding this can by found in the Consumer Alert released by .au Domain Administration Limited: In-house and On-site Services For the past couple of years, iiNet has offered an "in-house" and "on-site" service for people in the Perth metropolitan area. The "in-house" service allowed customers to bring their PC in and leave it overnight when they had problems. It has become increasingly obvious that as a growing number of our customers are now located in regional WA and interstate, it's just not a sensible way to resolve technical problems. We're better off having staff focus on telephone and email support, and leave PC repairs to the experts. So from 1 October 2002, we won't be doing "in-house" services or "on-site" installations any longer. Of course, our friendly support staff will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by telephone and email to assist iiNet customers with all Internet connection issues supported by iiNet! We've compiled a list of independent technical support providers who can come out to your house, which you can find here: bliink Launch Successful The launch of our new bliink broadband products in June has been an overwhelming success. iiNet now has over 5000 active broadband customers, many of whom have upgraded their dial-up accounts for faster Internet access. iiNet believes there has been such strong demand for bliink because of the flat rates. With most broadband providers you pay-as-you-go for additional. downloads. But the bliink flat rate accounts have no extra download charges. To celebrate the launch of bliink, three lucky bliink customers will win a SONY flat-screen TV & DVD package. For more information on bliink and how to win, please click here: Free Internet Seminars iiNet are pleased to announce the next FREE Internet Seminars with Internet Wise:
