Bliink Connection Software & Instructions
Macintosh OS X PPPoE Client
- This software is recommended for those users with an Ethernet type ADSL
modem (eg. D-Link DSL-300, Alcatel Speed Touch Home). Please note that this
software is not supported by iiNet's call centre.
- We strongly suggest you download a PDF copy of this webpage to your desktop, you can do so here.
- Click the Apple menu and choose System Preferences.
- In the System Preferences window, click Network. Set the
Location to Automatic, and Configure
to Built-in Ethernet.
- Click onto the TCP/IP tab. Choose to Configure
using PPP.
- Click onto the PPPoE tab
· Check mark the option Connect using PPPoE
· Enter iiNet ADSL Connection for the Service
Provider
· Leave the PPPoE Service Name blank.
· In Account Name - Enter your iiNet username followed
by "@iinet.net.au" (i.e. username@iinet.net.au)
· In Password: Enter your password as supplied by
iiNet
· Check the option Show PPPoE status in menu bar
- Click the PPPoE Options button. Check these two Session
options, all other session options are your choice:
· Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications
· Disconnect when user logs out
- Only Send PPP echo packets should be checked in the Advanced
Options section. Click OK. Click Apply Now.
- To connect to the Internet via PPPoE, click the Right-Left Arrow
Icon on the menu bar and select Connect.
