Windows NT Errors
Error Access denied

Error Access denied is an authentication error. The likely cause is an incorrect username or password, or entering a name in a remote network domain. Lets check your settings.

  • Double click the My Computer icon on your Desktop then double click Dial-Up Networking

  • In the Phonebook entry to dial choose the connection to the iiNet
  • Click More and then Edit entry and modem properties

  • Click the Unsave password button and click OK
  • If the button is not available, greyed out, go to the next step
  • Click Close button to exit
  • This time when you try dialing, you should see a window as below

  • In the username type your unique iiNet username
  • It is one work and all in lower case, it is not username@iinet.net.au - that is your email address
  • Type your secret password
  • Leave the Domain field empty
  • If you are still having problems authenticating, please call iiNet to confirm your password
